I thought it was a book that could also be enjoyed by adults, which i think it might be. And reading it as an adult is still just as fun as it was when i was a kid, with its wry sense of humor, which constantly makes me laugh out loud, and interesting characters that break out of the typical fantasy mold. Alianora would have preferred to ride with the stone prince, but none of the dragons were willing to take on a second passenger if the stone prince was the first.
